I’m choosing to assume that Logan smelled her and knew it was a fake-out, which is why he’s annoyed….otherwise, it doesn’t make sense, because the real Jean hasn’t actually come back more than a few times. That’s not nearly as many times as Wolverine has.

The mutant population has gone from millions to 198 since M-day. Not only have more than 90 percent of them been depowered, but mutants have been killed or mutilated and mangled by Wanda’s spell. The Office of National Emergency (O*N*E) sends manned sentinels to guard the X-mansion—both to keep anti-mutant terrorists like the Sapien League  and Purifiers out and to keep the desperate, fearful mutants in. The X-men offer refuge to any mutants remaining.  Some of the mutants are chomping at the bit for some freedom because the mansion is being treated as a comfortable prison in the name of safety.
